Today, on February 15 at 10 am in the complex of the Republican children's and youth school of gymnastics was held the Grand opening of the First Open championship of the Central Asia Fencing Confederation among juniors and cadets.
Before the Grand opening of the Championship, the concert program by masters of arts of Uzbekistan was demonstrated to the honored guests, participants of the competition, numerous fans of fencing, who filled the tribunes of the complex of the Republican children's and youth school of gymnastics. Dance group "Tasanno" performed national dances of the member states of the Central Asia Fencing Confederation-Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Deputy Minister of physical culture and sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. A. Kasymov, General Secretary of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Dj.M. Matchanov are made a speech at the solemn opening of the Championship. They particularly stressed about the attention of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirzieev to the development of physical culture and sports in the country. The head of the state emphasizes to the need of involvement of general population in sports and to establish a healthy lifestyle in society, to educate the physically healthy younger generation, to ensure a decent representation of the country in the field of sports with the highest achievements in the international sports arena.
The initiative of the International Fencing Federation to establish the Central Asia Fencing Confederation was supported by our state. On January 25, 2019, the Ministry of justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan carried out the state registration of the Confederation. And The first Opening championship of the Central Asia Fencing Confederation among juniors and cadets takes place in Tashkent.
The Chairman of the Fencing Confederation in Central Asia, the Chairman of the fencing Federation of Uzbekistan R. M. Abdurakhmanov welcomed all the heads of national federations of fencing – members of Confederations, athletes and fans of fencing.
He noted that today we all have a significant event-the opening of the First Open championship of the Central Asia Fencing Confederation among juniors and cadets. Our national federations have united in the figurative expression of our President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in our "Central Asian common house" for further strengthening of friendship and brotherhood, development of cooperation of blood native peoples.
It is very symbolic that our first championship is held among cadets and juniors. They will have to storm the heights of the Asian and world Championships, the Olympic games, and continue the relay of victories of our famous predecessors.
Therefore, we are very happy to welcome all dear guests of the capital of Uzbekistan: "Xush kelibsiz!"- "Welcome!".
